ways to find information in Word documents
(1) After you use Word 2010 to open a document, on the View tab, in the Display Options group, select the Navigation Pane check box so that the Navigation Pane appears on the left side of the window. At the top of the Navigation Pane, you can clearly see an Instant Search box, enter a search keyword, and highlight the search results immediately.
(2) Click the "Browse your current search results" button at the bottom of the search box, where you can easily and quickly view your search results and navigate to a target location in the form of thumbnails.
(3) If the information you are looking for is a particular object, such as graphics, tables, formulas, footnotes/endnotes, annotations, and so on, click the lower Triangular button on the right side of the search box, and in the Drop-down list that opens, click the target object, such as a graphic, to quickly search through all the graphics. You can also view thumbnails under this view by clicking the Browse for pages in your document button.
