Ways to hide things that are not suitable for public in Vista _vista

One, to exclude them from the search

Steps to take:

1, enter "index" in the search box in the Start menu, load the Index Options dialog box

2, click the "Modify" button

3. Click the "Show All Locations" button to agree to the UAC prompt

4, find the location you want, cancel its check box selection

5, "OK" close the dialog box





Second, folder properties


Another method is to edit folder properties so that the search engine does not have that folder. This method is more effective for frequently changing files, but not 100% isolation.

1, right-click the folder, click Properties

2, click the "Advanced" button

3. Cancel the "Index this folder for quick Search" option

4, click "OK" button



Third, file attributes

You can also make a separate file without being indexed.

1, right-click the file, click Properties

2, click the "Advanced" button
