Remote Desktop replication and pasting are frequently used when operating Windows servers on a day-to-day basis, but sometimes it is not possible to copy content locally on a Windows server, or to copy content locally to a Remote Desktop Connection's Windows Server.
According to Microsoft's instructions, remote server replication content to the remote computer, controlled by the "Rdpclip.exe" process, if the remote Windows Server Open Task Manager to see that there are rdpclip.exe processes exist, you can do bidirectional replication, but sometimes ineffective, the solution is as follows:
In Task Manager, turn off the "Rdpclip.exe" process, and then "Start-> run->rdpclip.exe" to rerun the program and return to normal.
If you want to copy files to this computer on a remote server, you can copy files directly to the local computer using Remote Desktop. Only when you start the Remote Desktop program, select the local resources item, select Disk drive, and then, on the remote server, you can see the drive on this computer (like browsing a folder shared by a network neighbor).
Note: Rdpclip.exe is the Rdpclip utility provided in the Windows 2000/2003/2008 Server Resource Kit, which functions to copy and paste files between the Terminal Services Client (native) and the Terminal Server (remote server). It also includes pasting text. The file path for this program is C:windowssystem32rdpclip.exe!
