Step One: Restart the computer and reset the printer
Restart your computer.
Press the "Power" button to turn off the printer.
Disconnect the printer power cable and the USB cable.
Wait 30 seconds, and then reseat the printer power cable.
Press the "Power" button to start the printer.
Step Two: Check the paper status and reload the paper
Remove damaged, wrinkled, curled or dusty paper.
Note: Please use the unused plain white paper for printing.
Since only one type of paper can be used at a time, make sure that all paper sizes and types are consistent, and do not mix different types of paper.
Aligns the edges of the paper with the horizontal surface.
Load the paper directly to the right of the feed tray, and when you feel resistance, you can pull the paper slightly out of 1 centimeters, and then gently push the paper width guide so that it snaps to the edge of the paper.
Make sure that the maximum number of sheets in the feed tray is no more than 25.
Note: Please do not put too much paper in the feed tray.
Step Three: Check the paper settings in the driver
Do the following with different operating systems:
In the Windows Pro operating system, click "Start" → "settings" → "printer" in turn. In the Printers window, locate the icon for the printer.
In the Windows XP operating system, click "Start" → "printers and Faxes" in turn. In the Printers and Faxes window, locate the icon for the printer.
In the Windows Vista operating system, click start → click Control Panel, click the Printer option in the Control Panel window. In the Printers window, locate the icon for the printer. As shown in the Figure 1 printer:

In the Windows 7 operating system, click Start (win+r) → "devices and printers" in turn. In the Devices and Printers window, locate the icon for the printer.
In the Printers and Faxes window, right-click the HP Deskjet D2300 series icon and select the Print Preferences menu item.
Note: As an example of how HP Deskjet D2368 inkjet printers operate in the Windows XP operating system, the operating methods for other models of printers and operating systems can be referenced.
In the HP Deskjet D2300 Series Printing Preferences window, select the Features tab to ensure that the settings in the paper type and size Drop-down lists match the type of paper you use, the dimensions, and then click OK. As shown in Figure 2, printing preferences are as follows:

Step four: Print a test page
In the Printers and Faxes window, right-click the HP Deskjet D2300 series icon and select the Properties menu item.
In the HP Deskjet D2300 Series Properties window, select the General tab and click the Print test Page button. As shown in Figure 3, printing preferences are as follows:

Check that the printer is able to print the test page normally, and then do the following:
If the printer is able to print the test page correctly, the problem is resolved and you can use the printer normally.
If the printer is not able to print the test page properly, you can print the offline print test page to see if there is a problem with the internal hardware structure of the printer.
Step Five: Send repair printer
