Application procedure for L-1 visa
1. An application for a L-1 visa must first be submitted to the USCIS by a foreign parent company in the United States that is preparing to redeploy the employee. These branches in the United States may be company divisions, subsidiaries, affiliates or joint ventures, but they must have the aforementioned affiliation with the parent company overseas. If the overseas parent company does not have a branch in the United States, it can set up a new company to apply to the USCIS as a lover of the newly formed American company. The application materials include the relevant materials of the American company, the relevant materials of the overseas parent company, the supporting documents of the two affiliations and the applicant's personal material four categories.
2. A uniform two copies of the required application documents will be sent to the USCIS Regional Service Centre for review.
3. Upon approval of the petition by the U.S. company to the USCIS, a I-797 notification will be issued and a full copy of the application will be sent by the National Visa Center to the overseas embassies and consulates designated on the I-129 form.
4. The applicant can apply for an entry visa to the foreign embassies and consulates with the approval of the Immigration Department and related Materials.
5. The applicant has a visa interview at a local consulate, and the consul will consider the status of the applicant's overseas parent company and whether the applicant has the ability to work in a U.S. company when examining the visa application.
6. If the consul is satisfied here, the visa will be granted.
7. Once the visa application is approved, you can work in the United States. The validity of the visa is generally the same as the validity of the approval, the first time usually not more than 2 years.
