Try to implement relevant hints and procedures to help resolve and avoid USB connection problems.
Restart the printer and computer: Reboot the computer and printer to clear the error condition that may occur.
Reconnect the connector: Disconnect the USB cable and reconnect to the printer and computer.
Connect to a different USB port: Connect the cable to another USB port on your computer.
Disconnect the connector from the USB hub or docking dock: If you are using a USB hub or docking dock, try connecting the connector directly to the MAC.
Try another USB cable: Use a different USB cable. HP supports a USB cable that is no more than 3 m (9 ft 10 in) length.
Disconnect other USB devices: If you have more than one USB device attached to your computer (such as another printer), your computer may not be able to supply enough power to the USB port to detect all USB devices. Unplug other USB devices that are not used.
