I used the XP system, after the installation was completed, found no small mark italicized word, so, the download of the italicized Word font, the font copied to the c:windowsfonts, but did not pop up the "Install new fonts" prompt, see Word fonts also did not show installation success! After efforts, Finally summed up a fool-style approach to improve the solution to this problem, and do not need to reload the system. Not before the fix looks.
1, add "read-only", "system" two properties to the C:windowsfonts folder, the method is as follows: Start-> open-> input cmd-> point to determine-> input cd/d c:windows into the WINDOWS directory, Then enter attrib +s +h +r Fonts. At this point, see if the Fonts folder appears as shown in Figure 1, if it appears, it has been fixed, or continue the second step.
2, check there is no C:windowsfontsdesktop.ini file, Desktop.ini directly in the Fonts folder because hidden may not be found, but also the settings show view all hidden files, I introduce a simple method: directly in My Computer address bar input file path C: Windowsfontsdesktop.ini pop-up file to show that there is, no is not exist. See the figure below.
3, if the Desktop.ini file, the file properties set to read-only, hidden, go to this step is successful, and then the small label italicized word glued to the Fonts folder, see, if the installation prompts pop-up, then said success.
4. If the Desktop.ini file is not ejected, it indicates that the file is corrupted. Regenerate the file as follows: Create a new text document-> input inside
Copy Content to Clipboard
[. ShellClassInfo]
uiclsid={bd84b380-8ca2-1069-ab1d-08000948f534}
-> Save as Desktop.ini-> Copy to fonts file, and then change the property to read-only and hidden.
To change the property's method: On the file, right-click the-> property-> read-only, hide before the check, save.
Finally, try to copy the font to a fonts file, whether the third step of the installation prompts. Under normal circumstances, to this should be able to, if not resolved, you can refer to the experts of the data.
