At&t's Systimax PDS (premises distribution system) cabling System integrates the entire communication with a single wiring system, including voice, data, image, monitoring and other equipment needed wiring.
International standards for PDS
At&t's PDS structured wiring system is designed by Bell Labs in accordance with the standards of the American Electronics Association and the Telecommunications Industry Association, and has passed the test at the factory, with the following standards:
Cable standard for eia/tia-568 civil construction
eia/tia-569 Civil architecture communication channel and space standard
IEEE 802.3-Bus Ethernet LAN Standard
IEEE 802.5 loop LAN Standard
ANSI FDDI Fiber Distributed Data Interface high speed LAN standard
Tpddi copper wire Distributed Data Interface high speed LAN standard
ATM Asynchronous Transmission mode standard
RS232 RS422 asynchronous and synchronous transmission standards
PDS composition
PDS mainly realizes the communication of data and voice, which satisfies the needs of LAN and PBX of computer LAN. Computers are connected to network devices, telephones and fax machines are connected to the telephone switchboard. PDS follows the telephone system physical topology, the use of star structured wiring method, data and telephone wiring structure consistent, this structure is high reliability, the change of a node will not affect the work of other nodes, the structure is simple, easy to expand, easy maintenance, good reliability. PDS structure schematic diagram as follows:
The PDS consists mainly of the following 6 parts
Equipment Room Subsystem:
Mainly refers to the voice system telephone switchboard room and the Data system network equipment room. The subsystem is mainly composed of a wiring frame and a cable connecting with the wiring frame and the equipment.
Wiring Rack system: refers to the outside of the equipment, all floors of the wiring racks.
Vertical Trunk Subsystem: Provides a vertical cable to form a channel between floors and outside communication.
Horizontal trunk subsystem: Usually use unshielded twisted-pair (UTP) to extend the vertical trunk to the user's work area, and the horizontal trunk line can also be used when high-speed applications are required.
Workspace subsystem: consists of an information outlet and a connection to a user's device.
Complex subsystem: The extension of a cable from a building to another building, including cables, optical cables, and some electrical protective equipment.
