What is port mapping?
Port mapping is also called Port forwarding, and some are called NAT, virtual server. Port mapping process just like your home in a Community B building room 2410, your friends to find you, to find the community doorway, do not know where you live which number? asked the gatekeeper security, the security guard very politely told him your house number, so your friend easily found your home. This process is the external network access to the intranet through the image of the port map.
Why do you want to do port mapping?
The current network access mainly has 2 kinds:
1 ADSL connect the cat directly connected to the host, this situation is direct ADSL broadband dial-up, connected to the Internet through the operation of CMD execution Ipconfig/all command can be seen, PPP dial-up connection to obtain a public network IP address, this type of network is not required to do port mapping ( As shown in Figure 1)
Figure 1
2 ADSL through the router to dial, the host through the router to share the Internet, in this case the host acquisition is usually a 192.168.x.x type of private (LAN) intranet IP address, as shown in Figure 2:
Figure 2
In such cases, it is necessary to do port mapping in the router, forwarding port to the corresponding server.
How to set up port mappings:
To do port mapping, you first need to understand how much of the port the service program needs to map, and here's a list of the default service port numbers that some services need to map
Website tcp:80
FTP tcp:21 (Control port)
Housekeeper financial software tcp:211 tcp:80 tcp:1433
Hai Kang wei video hard disk recorder tcp:80 (Web port) tcp:8000 (video data port)
Dahua DVR tcp:80 (Web port) tcp:37777 (video data port)
Mail Service smtp:tcp25 pop3:tcp110
MSSQL Database tcp:1433
Video capture card different manufacturers use the default port is not the same, 5050, 8000 9000-9002, 37777, etc.
Here are some of the major brand-name router port mappings:
1) Tp-link router (take Tp-link R460 as an example)
Intranet ip:192.168.1.101 is a Web server, Tp-link series routers default management address for http://192.168.0.1, account admin Password Admin Login to the router's management interface, click on the router's forwarding rules-Virtual server- Add a new entry, as shown in Figure 3:
Figure 3
The port mapping settings are as follows: The service port number fills in 80, if fills in 80-82 to represent maps 80, 81, 82 ports, the IP address fills in intranet Web server's IP address 192.168.1.101, the protocol set is TCP, if to the Port protocol type does not understand may set chooses for all, Represents all (including TCP and UDP), the state must be set to take effect.
Note: The common service port number is used as a help hint, does not need to be selected, and then clicks Save, and the mapping succeeds, as shown in Figure 4:
