What is the relationship between AF region mode and AF focus mode?

AF region mode: single region; dynamic region; AF automatic Region
AF focus mode: AF-A; AF-S; AF-C

The two settings are both easy to understand and understand, but how can they be used in actual use?
For example: the use of AF-S with dynamic areas, from the literal point of view these two should be "contradictory" ah, then focus on which prevail?

There is no conflict between the two settings. It mainly depends on what theme you are shooting. You can choose based on the actual situation.

AF-A is very easy to understand, is mainly used to take static objects. If the subject and environment you are shooting are suitable for small aperture, you can choose a single region or dynamic region, because the whole topic is within the depth of field. However, when shooting at close distance or using a large aperture, a single area is used to focus on a specific point. If this point is not the center of the screen, for example, the eyes of a portrait do not choose the focus point, or a character (product brand, etc.) in the static object is not exactly at the focus point, so this center may not be within the clear range. When the dynamic area is selected, the camera will select a larger range as the focus balancing factor, and the focus is not at the center point. However, this is rare in the use of static things.

And the use of AF-S or AF-C, mainly depends on the subject you shot. The shooting subject is in motion. When you use a single shot, select AF-S. If you want to track an object in motion, select AF-C. Select a single region or a dynamic region, and set the size of the center content to be focused based on your shooting subject. For example, shooting birds, to lock the eyes of birds focus, with a single area, so you take a single selection of AF-S with single area focus, continuous shot with AF-C with single area focus.

When you are shooting a large sports topic, you need to take the overall focus into consideration, such as athletes in sports and players in ball games. At this time, the subjects you are taking are relatively large, sometimes a single area may cause a clear picture rather than the whole theme clear, this time you can choose a group of dynamic, the same, when shooting a single AF-S with dynamic focus group, continuous shooting with AF-C group dynamics.

The two models have no obvious limitations in actual use, and they do not necessarily produce obvious results, because they correspond to the shooting environment, the equipment (body and lens) selected by the photographer ), the photographer's habits are closely related to the photographer's technical skills.

In AF-S mode, each time the focus lock is triggered (AF-L or semi-press the shutter Key), the focus is locked once, as long as you do not loosen the button for the exposure lock, whether the subject is moving or not, the camera will not focus automatically.

AF-C mode is triggered once, automatically tracking the subject continuous focus until the exposure lock release.

The benefit of AF-S is that you can easily choose different targets at any time, as long as each press the shutter key gently touch, it triggers focus (and exposure lock ), this allows you to easily change the target of the exposure/focus lock.

AF-C is a continuous lock for a single target, for example, in a group of athletes you want to lock Yao, as long as you lock Yao, then no matter how He interspersed, the auto focus system always adjusts the focus according to him.
