The wireless extender is a Wi-Fi amplifier that can enlarge the existing weak wireless signals. Before purchase, what signals can be extended by the wireless extender? Can I enlarge any Wi-Fi signal? Please refer to the following answers:
1. Signals from our devices
Extenders can expand our (TP-LINK) any model of wireless products to launch Wi-Fi signals, including wireless routers, wireless AP and so on.
2. Signals from devices from other manufacturers
Generally, most wireless products on the market can be expanded, but it is not ruled out that some products cannot be successfully expanded due to compatibility issues.
3. CMCC, Chinanet, free Wi-Fi, and other Wi-Fi hotspots
These open Wi-Fi hotspots cannot be successfully expanded or used properly because the signal itself may not be amplified by a relay. In addition, CMCC, Chinanet, and other Wi-Fi hotspots are open networks. We do not recommend that you expand these signals to ensure network security.
Of course, you must know that the basic premise for a signal to be successfully extended is:
A. The enlarged signal must be a 2.4G common Wi-Fi signal;
B. You must know the Wireless name and password of the signal (do not consider encryption );
C. You must be able to search for the position where you want to place the extender;
