Method 1:
You need to determine whether the letter of the notebook keyboard is changed to a number due to the Enable of the keypad. Check whether there is a lock in the indicator Area. The indicator light with a number in the lock is on, you can also check whether there is a small number behind the letter on some buttons in the letter area of the laptop keyboard, and the colors of these keys are different from those of other keys. If so, this indicates that the laptop has a keypad settings. The reason for changing the letter and number of the laptop may be that the keypad is enabled, and the indicator will be on when the keypad is turned on.
Disable keypad, Use the Fn + NUMLOCK numeric lock key, hold down the "Fn" key, and then press "Num Lk" to switch the keypad.
Method 2: Sometimes, due to software compatibility issues, the "Fn" + "Num Lk" combination switch will fail, and you need to use the screen keyboard to switch, the method is as follows:
Click Start> Program> attachment> auxiliary tool> on-screen keyboard. Then, you can click an "NLK" key in the keypad.
However, because different types of laptops are designed for different notebook manufacturers, the methods for disabling and enabling the keypad are also different, but almost all are Fn keys + digital locks, or Shift keys + digital locks.
Method 3:
If the buttons provided above cannot be solved or the buttons cannot be found, you still need to look down. In fact, the NUM (NUMLOCK) on the keyboard means that the numeric keypad is locked, if you cannot find the NUM key, you can also try to find SCROLL. Many notebook manufacturers often set the NUMLOCK key and SCROLL (the SCROLL bar lock) to the same key.
Method 4:
Even the Scroll key cannot be found. You can try to find the keyboard icon with a lock. This lock usually contains a number, in fact, the NUMLOCK key can also be used to close the keypad by pressing the Fn + key.
Method 5:
If the NUMLOCK key is found, but pressing Fn + NUMLOCK cannot close the keypad, you can try to see if the color of the NUMLOCK key is the same as that of the control key on the keyboard. If the colors of the two are the same, you must press Shift + NUMLOCK to disable the keypad.
