What to do if Microsoft Office 2007 cannot be uninstalled

With Microsoft's Microsoft Office 2010 release, many friends want to install Office 2010, but the system was originally installed with Office 2007, there is no installer or CD, you cannot use Add or Remove Programs in Windows XP Control Panel or Windows Vista, uninstall programs in Windows 7 Control Panel to remove the Office 2007 suite, or some of its components, causes the Office software to not be installed correctly.
Operation Steps:
One, stop Office Source Engine Service
Click Start "-〉 Run, and type services.msc, enter, as shown in the following figure.




Locate Office Source Engine in Server Manager, and if the status is not stop, right-click and select Stop, as shown in the following figure.




Quit Service Manager.

Two, remove the installation package for Office 2007
Click Start "-> Run, type installer, and enter.




Right-click in the margin to the right of the window, select "View"-〉 "Details", "Sort by"-〉 "topics," as shown in the following illustration.






(Note: Vista and Win 7 users who do not see this option are listed in the "Sort by"-〉 "more", as shown in the following figure. ）




Click on each MSI file in turn to see the details, if the topic contains "Microsoft Office XXX 2007" Related text, right-click the MSI file, select Uninstall, as shown in the following figure.

Click Start "-〉 Run, and type%commonprogramfiles%microsoft Shared, enter, as shown in the following figure.




If the following folders appear, delete them: Office12 Source Engine Open again "-〉 run, type%programfiles%microsoft Office, enter, as shown in the following figure.



If the Office12 folder appears, delete it. In the Address bar, type "system disk Letter: Msocacheall Users" To delete all folders that contain "0ff1ce}-" text in the name, as shown in the following illustration.





iv. Delete Office 2007 installation files
Click Start "-〉 Run, and type%appdata%microsofttemplates, enter, as shown in the following figure.




Delete the following two files: Normal.dotm Normalemail.dotm, as shown in the following illustration:





Open "Start"-〉 "again, type%temp%, enter, as shown in the following figure.





Delete all files under the Temp folder, as shown in the following illustration.





Open start "-> Run, type%allusersprofile%application datamicrosoftofficedata, enter, as shown in the following figure.




Delete the Opa12.dat file only, as shown in the following illustration.





v. Delete registry subkeys for 2007 Microsoft Office System

To dismount more thoroughly, we need to find the registry subkeys for Office 2007 and delete them.
Click Start "-〉 Run, type regedit, and enter to open the registry as shown in the following figure.




Locate the hkey_current_usersoftwaremicrosoftoffice12.0 item, and then right-click and select Delete, as shown in the following figure.




In the same way, locate and delete the following registry subkeys, respectively.

Click to view each subkey, and if DisplayName contains Microsoft Office2007, see if this subkey has the following values assigned:
Name: UninstallString data: file_name pathuninstallSetup.exe path, as shown in the following illustration:
(Note: In this example, file_name is a placeholder for the name of the installer, and path is a placeholder for the file path.) )




If it does, the right mouse selects "delete". When the operation is complete, quit Registry Editor.

Six, restart the computer

This completes the uninstallation process.
