When copying the data from the computer to the U disk, it shows that "the diskette is write-protected" and cannot do anything with the disk. What is this all about?
Modify the Registration Form
1, in the Start menu bar of the search box type "regedit", open Registry Editor
2, then expand to the Hkey_local_machinesystemcurrentcontrolsetcontrolstoragedevicepolicies item sequentially
3. Change the key value named "Writeprotect" in the right window to "0"
Note: If you do not have this key value, create the key value under storagedevicepolicies and change it to 0.
4, the above is the general operation, but in the actual operation, such as on the operation can not solve the problem of write protection, in response to this problem the author did the following: Reboot with U disk reboot, when the system reset to U disk lights flash, unplug u disk.
Change policy
1, on the U disk letter on the right mouse button "Properties", and then select the "Hardware" tab
2. Select the disk drive with USB in the list of all disk drives and click the Properties button at the bottom right
3. Click on the "Policy" tab in the open window
4, change the policy to "better performance" (XP system is "optimized for performance").
The reason for the U disk itself
Now a lot of U disk has write protection switch, as long as the top switch a twist, you can only read, not write, this function is to protect u disk from viruses.
