Computer operating system can not find the network card mainly in the following two reasons. One is that the NIC is not properly plugged into the PCI slot, the second is the network card or PCI slot loose, at this time can be replaced by a PCI slot. If the NIC is installed correctly, the XP system initiates the self-test without reporting an error message. Boot into BIOS setup.
