Microsoft Entourage is a mailbox client and personal information management system developed by Microsoft for Mac OS 8.5 or later. Microsoft first released Entourage in October 2000 as part of Microsoft Office 2001, while the previous Mac OS version of Microsoft Office,office 98 includes Outlook Express 5. The latest version is Entourage:mac 2008, a part of Microsoft Office:mac 2008, released on January 15, 2008. Microsoft Office,entourage was replaced by Microsoft Outlook on August 13, 2009 when it announced the next Microsoft version of the Mac OS release. Microsoft Office for Mac is released on October 26, 2010.
Function
Entourage is a mailbox client and can also manage calendars, address books, calendar, and project administrators. and Microsoft, starting with Entourage 2004, offers the Project Center feature, which allows users to build and integrate different specific cases. Comparison with Outlook
Unlike other Mac versions of Office, Entourage does not use the name of a Windows version product. Microsoft thinks Entourage is "meeting the needs of a completely different audience." Entourage from the Mac version of Outlook Express 5, and Claris Emailer, and Entourage is "no ported code, and no Office code", That is, there is no code for Outlook and office. However, Microsoft has positioned entourage as a "similar" product for the Macintosh Exchange users.
