Why does oracle's preparedstatement.exe cutebatch return-2?

Source: Internet
Author: User

The preparedstatement.exe cutebatch method calls a void executeforrows method at the underlying layer for execution. They are very lazy. to reuse this method, they lose the returned value, therefore, you cannot know what the current statement returns.

However, the jdbc2.0protocol stipulates that, if the execution is successful but cannot be completed, the system returns the result of Oracle preparedstatement.exe cutebatch to set the return value of each statement to-2. Generally, the execution is successful if the return value is in programming. However, you cannot know the exact number of affected rows.
