EMule 0.46a and later
There are the following two possible:
1. You may have opened the email notification in the "option"-> "Notification" and checked "pop-up message" under "One download completed" or "urgent: insufficient disk space, loss of server connection".
2. False alarm of firewall.
Pre-EMule 0.46a version
Before 0.46a, emule did not send e-mail at all.
The source of the problem is the ZoneAlarm firewall. Many users use a custom port when using emule, but it is possible to inadvertently occupy a port that is typically used for e-mail services (for example, 23). Firewalls believe that the traffic generated on this port is e-mail, so even if the data is not at all an e-mail message, the firewall will report emule to the message.
There are two solutions that can be chosen either:
1. When ZoneAlarm comes out again and says emule to send and receive the mail, although the answer is assured yes, and to tick "Remember this answer the next time I use", So ZoneAlarm will not bother you again, and this will not cause users who are improperly set up to disconnect from the port.
2. You can change a firewall. Many people are using Kerio Personal Firewall or sygate Personal Firewall, but before choosing a firewall, it is best to search in the forum to see the experience of the previous lessons, and then make a reasonable choice.
