Backups are important to back up the system service before it is configured for configuration management, and can be restored to normal as soon as an error occurs. Here, we describe the service-related content of the direct backup registry.
(1) Run Registry Editor, expand Registry HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services in turn.
(2) Click the file → export menu command, and in the dialog box that appears, click the selected branch option to export the registry content under this branch and save it as a reg file. If you need to restore system services, you can import the registry directly by double-clicking the reg file.
2. Disaster protection If you accidentally disable an important service because of your mistake, you can't start Windows, so you can't restart the service, which creates a vicious circle. In this case, we can only use the system console for manual recovery. In the system console, we are free to start any service or control the startup type of the service.
Place the Windows XP installation CD in the CD drive, and then in the BIOS, set the optical drive boot to priority. When you start your computer into the "Welcome to Setup" interface, press R to enter the Windows XP Recovery Console interface as prompted. Select the system you want to repair and type the system administrator password.
At the command prompt, we need to use the "Enable" and "Disable" commands. Where the Enable command format is "enable [service_name] [startup_type]"; Disable's command format is "Disable [Service_Name]". Here, [Service_Name] is the name of the service or device that you want to enable/disable, [Startup_type] is the type of startup that represents the different startup types. Available types include service_disabled, Service_boot_start, Service_system_start, Service_Auto_Start, and Service_demand_start.
Let's take the example of disabling system Help in Windows XP by setting the startup type of the service to disabled and then enabling it again.
(1) into the "Recovery Console" interface, run the "listsvc" command to view the running status of various services, where we can see the system help service is started, enter the "Disable Helpsvc" command and return, you can disable the system help service.
(2) If you need to restart the service and set the service to run automatically with the system, you can enter the "Enable helpsvc Service_boot_start" command return.
