This blog post mainly records i Daoteng install Linux process, for later review;

1, first format a small partition format for FAT32 i split a partition 10G to store the REDHAT7 image

2, with the decompression software or virtual CD-ROM and other software to extract the redhat7 inside the vmlinuz,initrd,isolinux,images, the same in this partition, also assume that the e-disk directory.

Note: It is best to use the decompression software to extract the above four files to the E-disk directory, instead of directly copied and pasted to the e-disk directory, where, Vmlinuz and initrd two files are in the Isolinux directory, The Initrd file may also need to be extracted from the initrd.img file in the Isolinux directory, but can also be used directly with the Initrd.img file.

3. Prepare an empty disk partition to install the Fedora 17 system, the size can be based on your own needs, this is assumed to be shown in the G-drive under Win 7.

4. Mouse double-click to install the Easybcd2.1.2.exe file (with this software, or you can download it from the Internet), after the installation of the software to run.

5. Click the Add New entyàneogrubàinstallàconfigure option button and append the following to the pop-up menu.lst-notepad:

Title Install Fedora 17

Root (Hd0,x)

Kernel (hd0,x)/vmlinuz Linux Askmethod repo=hd:/dev/sday:/

INITRD (hd0,x)/initrd.img

Boot

Precautions:

In general, the system reserves the partition as the first partition of the hard disk, and also the primary partition, which is generally not displayed in the Windows System Explorer, the size of about 100m~300m, after the installation of the Fedora 17 system, and then back to the Windows System Explorer, This partition is likely to be displayed. Therefore the system reserved partition corresponds to (hd0,0)->sda1.

WIN 7 under the C disk for the system partition, is also the primary partition, corresponding to (hd0,1)->sda2.

There are two different scenarios, which are detailed below:

If the D disk is the primary partition, then the e disk is the first logical partition, corresponding to the following:

D-Disk (hd0,2)->sda3

E-Drive (hd0,4)->sda5

F-Plate (hd0,5)->sda6

G-Drive (hd0,6)->sda7

If the D disk is directly the first logical partition, the corresponding is as follows:

D-Disk (hd0,4)->sda5

E-Drive (hd0,5)->sda6

F-Plate (hd0,6)->SDA7

G-Drive (hd0,7)->sda8
