At present, when installing startos5.1 in the partition interface in the "Advanced" option to choose the boot device installed in which partition, the option is "MBR", "Linux root directory", if only the "Linux root" installed after the installation is not a Linux boot menu, in the tool EASYBCD Adding a new entry also does not appear in the Linux menu, so either "MBR" or "choose", it is recommended to choose this in Win7 environment can use tool EASYBCD configuration boot menu, reload Win7 can also add Linux boot menu in the following way.
However, it should be noted that Win7 needs to be reactivated. This situation is expected to solve the problem in later versions of Startos
Win7+startos dual system, the implementation of the Win7 boot menu to guide the Startos:
After installing the startos5.1, the boot menu is startos and does not move it. Reboot to Win7, download Easybcd2.2, green version is OK. Open EasyBCD, in Easybcd2.2 's BCD Deployment tab, click the "Write MBR" button, reboot after the Startos boot menu is gone, only win7 boot menu, note Win7 also need to reactivate!
In Easybcd2.2, select Add New Item, select Linux/bsd Card, type: GRUB2, name is startos5.1, drive: Partition 7 (LINUX-8GB) is the root partition of Startos system ( Press your own startos to install the root partition selected), others do not move. Do not select Auto Locate and load, or you will start Win7. The last point "Add new entry" adds the startos5.1 item to the win7 boot menu. However, when you choose to start Startos in the Win7 boot menu, there will still be a level two menu, which is also the Startos boot menu.
In the Startos grub.cfg file, set the YLMF as the default startup with a wait time of 0. In this way, select YLMF in the Win7 boot menu and go directly to Startos. After reloading Win7 can be the same, with Easybcd2.2 add a startos on the line. Installing the boot to the MBR and installing to the root partition is the best option for installing Startos, because you can select both. The effect is the same. Also, if you choose to install only to the root partition, even if you add a Startos boot entry to the EASYBCD, the drive selects the root partition and does not enable Startos to start.
