First step: Create a homegroup
The method of creating a homegroup in a Win7 system is also simple. First, on one of the Win7 computers, click the Start button, open Control Panel, and enter home in the search box to find and open the HomeGroup option.
Open Win7 Family Group option
Click Create HomeGroup in the HomeGroup window to check the items you want to share. The Win7 family can share a wealth of content, including documents, music, pictures, printers, and so on, covering almost every file on your computer.
Select the content to share
After you select the Shared Item, click Next, and Win7 will return a string of irregular characters, which is the family password, which can be copied to the text and saved or written directly on the paper.
Write down your homegroup password
After you write down this password and click "Finish" to save and close the settings, a homegroup is created.
Step two: Join the family group
To join an existing homegroup, open the HomeGroup setting from Control Panel, and when the system detects that a homegroup already exists on the current network, the button that originally displays "Create a homegroup" becomes "Join Now".
The computer that joins the HomeGroup also needs to select the items that you want to share, and then you can join the group by typing in the password that you got when you just created the homegroup in the next step.
Step three: Transfer files through the homegroup
When all the computers in your home are joined to the homegroup, expand the "HomeGroup" directory on the left side of the Win7 Explorer to see all the computers you have joined. As long as you select a Shared Item when you join, you can copy and paste it freely through your homegroup, just as you would move and copy files locally.
Small tip:
Win7 All versions can be added to the HomeGroup, but only the Win7 home advanced version and above system can create a homegroup. If you have all the computers in your family that are Win7, you can upgrade the Win7 system of a computer by buying the Win7 upgrade key, so you can create a homegroup. WIN7 system upgrade process is very simple, even without reloading the system, just enter the upgrade key, wait about 10 minutes on it.
