What is Group Policy?
The full name of Group Policy is the local Group Policy Editor, which is the primary tool for administrators to define and control program, network resources, and operating system behavior for users and computers in a Group Policy in Windows systems. You can set policies for various software, computers, and users by using Group Policy.
Group Policy exists as an MMC snap-in in Windows to help system administrators set up multiple configurations, including desktop configuration and security configuration, for the entire computer or for specific users. For example, Group Policy can customize available programs for specific users or groups of users, content on the desktop, and Start menu options, or create special desktop configurations across the computer. Simply put, Group Policy is a collection of system change and configuration management tools in Windows.
