The use of index files in Win8 makes searching very fast and comprehensive. Although Win8 's search function is powerful, users only want to search for a time period of files, how to customize the date search?
First click in the Search box, Win8 File Explorer at the top will display the "Search" toolbar, click the "Modified Date" button to pop-up date range selection box. As shown in figure:
But the date range is the whole week, month, and year, so how do you customize an arbitrary date range? Click "Today" and then click on the "Today" blue character displayed in the search box to pop up the date selection box. As shown in figure:
So how do you choose a date range? Click on the Date selection box above the "November 2012" (pictured above), the time range is up to "2012" year, the time range is also displayed as 12 months (the following figure). Notice that the date in the search box has become a range of dates separated by two dots in the middle. As shown in figure:
Modify the date range manually in the search, for example, to "2012/?10/?11". ? 2012/?11/?11 "To search for all files in the time range from October 11, 2012 to November 11, 2012.
