Add FTP User

Add a user to Windows. This is actually your FTP user. Of course you can use anonymous access, but this is not safe, you know that the FTP network can also be connected in fact. To set the password, standard users can be, without administrator privileges.

Set FTP directory

Create a folder on any hard disk partition on your machine as the root directory of the FTP. Of course you can use your entire computer hard drive, but that's not good.

Open FTP Service

Control Panel--programs and features--turn windows on or off and find the FTP server in Internet Information Services (IIS) all ticked. Also add Web management tools, security in the World Wide Web. It's the right picture.

Create an FTP site

After reboot: Control Panel--admin tool-internet Information Services (IIS) Manager: On the left right click on your PC site, my PC name is Kebin, so is kebin-pc (I copied the picture from the Internet ~ ~ ~). After adding the FTP site, write your FTP site name, as well as the specified physical path (that is, the folder you created earlier), the next step is to select the IP address "All Unassigned", the port number 21, automatically start the FTP site, SS select "Allow."

Configure FTP

The next step is to fill in authentication and authorization information, verify that "Basic" is selected (this is where anonymous access is forbidden, and you can turn on anonymous access if you are not afraid). Then authorize, select the designated user, fill in the user name you created on this computer before. Permissions if you want to read only, just set the read. If you want to share it, write it too, so that someone else can upload it to your machine.

Start FTP

So the FTP site is built, try to start, right-click the site, "Manage FTP Site"-"start". If it does not start, the FTP site cannot be started unless the Microsoft FTP Service (FTPSVC) is running. The service is currently stopped "and your FTP service is not yet open. Control Panel-Administrative Tools-Services-Find the Microsoft FTP service agreement, right-click, start. Go back inside the IIS panel to start your FTP site. Window7 is turned on by default.

Set FTP user rights

On the left side of IIS Manager, open your machine--site--Your FTP (the name you set for FTP), right click on "Edit Permissions", and then in "Security" to add the FTP user you previously set, and then choose "Edit" to the corresponding read and write permission to add. You can set it up without setting it, and this is where you add and modify permissions.

Finally, you can get someone to access your FTP. In the window's Explorer address bar or FTP software login: ftp://xx.xx.xx.xx (your machine's current IP address), and then let others enter the FTP user name and password you set (password is a power-on password), you can access it. If your own computer can log on, others can not login, that is your firewall problem. Control Panel-windows Firewall-Find the FTP server-click on "Change Settings" to play the bait in the corresponding place. OK, exit. Otherwise, shut down the firewall directly.

Win8

Win8 Open FTP is actually similar to Win7, is also the first to go to Control Panel---Programs and functions---Enable or disable the window function to turn on the "FTP Service", "FTP Extensibility" and "IIS Management Console" functions. Then go to IIS management to set up FTP-related features, and then start the FTP service. If you can't find the settings, you can use the search function of the WIN8 system (mouse over the right side of the screen will come out, for example, enter IIS can search IIS hypervisor).
