Since Windows 7 is used, it is found that Windows 7 does not automatically call the display ICC file after the color correction. Even when manually switching the ICC file, the color does not follow the conversion (this represents the ICC's corresponding graphics card Lut is not uploaded to the display adapter), apparently its operating mechanism is not consistent with XP. However, since Windows 7 will lut the display adapter to zero in some situations, it is important that you start the Windows built-in mechanism to automatically copy the Lut back after the graphics card is zeroed. As for Eizo CG Series School color without the need to change the graphics card Lut, so never encountered problems.
Here to explain is that the use of color after the creation of ICC files, must be matched with the corresponding graphics card lut use, otherwise it is in vain (because the ICC file is recorded in the graphics card lut after the screen characteristics of the value). It's easy to see if Windows 7 is set up to use ICC, but it doesn't know if the graphics Lut are also being updated. Although the resident program of the color picker will help to load the Lut to the display adapter when it is turned on, the Lut will be zeroed out after a period of time on the boot. EIZO CG Monitor attached software detects that the video card Lut to be changed by Windows 7 and jumps out of the message, so it appears that Windows 7 has some unknown mechanism in the brush graphics lut.
After repeated verification, found that the Windows 7 system default does not automatically change the ICC file corresponding to the video card Lut, resulting in your color must be turned on the color program manually switch, otherwise it will not work properly. So I spent a little time studying, and found that as long as you modify Windows 7 settings, you can automatically load the school color file and automatically change the graphics card Lut, and in the Windows 7 brush Lut when you can reply to the corresponding set of Lut. Although some friends who use the school color device do not feel that there is something wrong with Windows 7, I suggest that you should take the correct way to make sure that your school color work is working properly.
The way to modify it is as follows:
1. Press the right mouse button on the desktop, select the screen resolution, the following figure appears:
2. The following figure appears when you select the [Advanced Settings] in the red box of Figure 1:
3. After selecting the [Color Management] page, the following:
4. Click the [Color Management] button and the next screen appears:
5. Select the monitor you are using for the [device] drop-down menu:
Under normal circumstances, the figure "Use my settings for this device" should be checked. And you use the Color Checker to help you correct the ICC file, which is usually the "profile associated with this device" that is marked (the default). In a state of automation, if you select another ICC file on this side and change it to (default), the color of the screen must change immediately, on behalf of Windows have the ICC file corresponding to the graphics card lut to make corrections. If not, it's unfortunate that your ICC file is not automatically loaded by Windows 7, causing the graphics Lut to not update as planned, so the colors don't match the results you've corrected.
6. Press the [advanced] page to see what the inside looks like:
You will find that the checkbox "Use Windows Monitor calibration" (blue position in the figure) is not checked and cannot be selected. In fact, you just let it hook up, you can let Windows 7 automatically load your ICC file and change the graphics card lut to the color of the corresponding values.
7. When you press the [Change system defaults] button, you will see this screen:
8. Please click on the [advanced] page and see the following figure, and you find that the "Use of Windows Monitor calibration" is finally optional (blue position in figure):
9 This is the focus of the "Use of Windows Monitor calibration" to pick up:
10. After the above screen "closed", you will see the "Color Management" window, you can find that "using Windows Monitor calibration" although the white, but has been checked:
With the above steps, you can simply press "close" and Windows 7 will automatically load and apply your ICC files without any unsynchronized events. You might as well try to go back to step 5 and apply the other ICC files to the defaults, and the screen colors should change synchronously, which means your settings have been successfully run.
