In a Word 2010 document, users can enable the "Automatically toggle keyboard to match the language of surrounding text" feature. When a user moves the mouse cursor to a paragraph in a western character, the keyboard layout is automatically changed to a language that matches the language of the text adjacent to the cursor position. This feature applies only to Western characters (such as English, Spanish, and so on) and is not valid for Chinese characters.
The steps to enable the "Automatically toggle keyboard to match language for surrounding text" feature are described below:
Step 1th, open the Word 2010 document window, and click the file → options button, as shown in Figure 2012010701.

Step 2nd, open the Word Options dialog box and switch to the Advanced tab. In the Edit Options area, select the Automatically toggle keyboard to match the language of the surrounding text check box, and click OK, as shown in Figure 2012010702.
