When we use Word to edit a document, we often use find and replace these two very useful and important features, because sometimes we need to replace the contents of the document, even the format of the article will often use these two tools. Today I'd like to introduce the basic usage of find and replace.
Method/Step
1. First open the Word software, I am here casually open an article as a demo. As shown in the figure. If we want to replace a word or word in this article, we'll click on the edit option in the top menu bar.
2. Then, in the Edit Drop-down menu, click on the down arrow, there will be the search and replace options, where we first click on the replacement function.
3. After clicking, open the Find and replace page, first replace is on the right side of the lookup, in the first blank box below, enter what you want to find. As pictured.
4. Then, enter the content you want to replace in the input box below. For example, I'm here to replace all the characters in the article with the word. Just enter the person, then enter the following, and finally click the Replace button. As shown in the figure.
5. After clicking on all the replacements, a prompt will appear, prompting you to replace the total number of places. Of course you can also choose one replacement, because sometimes we don't want to replace all the words in the document. So, click on the replacement button in the image above to replace it with one. This is the basic use of substitution.
6. Now let's talk about the use of lookup features. Use the mouse to switch to the first label, that is, to find the tab page. Then, in the search below, enter what we're looking for. For example, I enter the word animal here, we want to find the word animal in the document. After entering, click to find the next place.
7. As pictured, we find that the word animal in the document is selected and has a black background for easy identification. When we click to find the Next button again, the highlighted word jumps to the next animal. This is the basic lookup function.
