Word 2013 Experience

Just downloaded the Office 2013 preview, Word experience is as follows.

In version 2013, Microsoft focused on ways to improve the way you read Word documents. Word's new read mode automatically adjusts text based on the device's screen, making it easier to read the document. Full-screen mode works equally well because it is not distracting (usually caused by different toolbars and options in Word). On a Windows 8 tablet computer, you can scroll through the Word document horizontally in both of these views. You can also pinch the text to zoom (pinch-to-zoom). With the object scaling feature, you can enlarge and create tables, charts, and images in your document Zoom.

Office 2013 greatly enhances support for PDFs, which allow users to open PDFs locally and convert them to Word documents. Initially, the document will open in a protected view, but just click on the "Enable Edit" button and you can modify the content and save it as a PDF document again. After 10 years, Word's PDF editing function is still not perfect, but if you just want to turn the PDF into an editable Word document, it does make you wish.

One of the best cloud features in Word 2013 is the resume Reading (restore reading) option, which automatically bookmarks the last location in the document and synchronizes it between different computers or tablet computers. To use resume Reading, you need to have a Microsoft SkyDrive account, but it does not have any configuration requirements. Log on to an office 2013 application with a Microsoft account, and you'll see the options for saving the document to a service such as Flickr or SkyDrive. After you log on, the document will be saved to the SkyDrive by default.

In the area of document layout, it provides a new alignment tool that aligns the charts and photos correctly in Word 2013 text. There's also a new real-time layout tool: When you drag photos, videos, and graphics on different pages, it lets you preview their alignment.

Embed network video in a Word document

Word 2013 can support online video, which means that you can now play video content embedded in the document (if the device is networked). You can embed video with Bing, YouTube, or embedded code. Word 2013 also adds a bunch of collaboration features, including the ability to demonstrate online documentation. When you use it, other users can view a document, even if they don't have Word installed, like a presentation where the presenter can flip through the document and the audience can watch it. This is somewhat similar to the existing functionality in PowerPoint 2010.
