A colleague recently brought a WPS paper, asked me to help him to modify and then print out, my computer installed word processing software is word XP. Remember that you have a WPS document converter in Office XP, and you never get a chance to use it. But when I opened a look, the content is all garbled, but under or first installed WPS office to help colleagues solve the urgent need. But not to forget Ah! Later, after the study, finally solved the problem.
Office 2000 also has a WPS document converter, but if you are using the default installation method, Office 2000 does not automatically install the WPS converter. Word XP automatically installs the WPS converter when you install it, and you can open the WPS document without error.
So, find an installation disk for Office 2000, find an executable file named Wps2word.exe under the Pfilescommonmssharedtextconv folder of the CD (Office XP Setup disk does not find the file), and then double-click The program automatically determines if you have installed the converter, and if it is not installed, the program automatically installs the converter to the computer. If you are prompted for installation (especially for Office XP users), it is recommended that you uninstall it first, and then select reinstall the dongle.
After installation, restart the system, open Word 2000 or Word XP, in the Open File dialog box in the File type box more than "WPS dos import" and "WPS Files" two options, use these two options to easily import a DOS version of the WPS document and WPS 2000 in Word /wps Office documents.
It is important to note that the converter can convert most of the formatting and embedded objects in the WPS document, but may result in a change in the layout format, just rearrange the document.
