Source: Internet
Author: User

By default, if you type an asterisk or number "1.", Word thinks you are trying to start a bulleted or numbered list. You can turn off the automatic list recognition feature.

Note If you turn off this feature and create a list manually, you cannot select and change all the contents of the list in one operation. For example, you cannot select a list and change the color of all numbers by one operation.

1. Click Office button, and then click Word Options.

2. Click "Proofing".

3. Click AutoCorrect Options, and then click the AutoFormat As You Type tab.

4. Under Apply automatically as you type, select or clear the Auto bulleted list check box or the AutoNumber list check box.
