Suddenly found that when using QQ can not find the camera, prompted to start the camera failed! Check that the driver is correct, or that a different application is consuming the device.
My system is windows8.1, the driver is the official affirmation is correct, has been using the good, is certainly a software problem.
Viewing the Device Manager, the camera driver has a small exclamation point. Double-click to display in properties
Windows cannot start this hardware device because it configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. Code 19)
Switch to the Event tab to view the camera GUID number
Then open Registry Editor, HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, System-I, CurrentControlSet, Control-Class
Find the corresponding GUID number, open, and on the right there will be a value called "UpperFilters". Open this value, see there are 2 data, one is 360Camera, and the other is ksthunk.
Delete 360Camera and keep ksthunk. You can then restart the computer to resolve it.
Want to be installed before the software, uninstall the later still have some registry key to cause this problem.
Tips:
If the camera doesn't work, first check to see if the keyboard shortcuts are locked. For example my is FN+F6, confirm the camera switch is in the state of open. Now many notebooks can use shortcut keys to turn off the camera.
Then open Device Manager and check to see if the camera driver is working properly. If the camera is not found, go to the motherboard and other places to confirm the hardware connection. If you only have an exclamation point, verify that the driver is installed correctly before checking the registry key. It's not going to work, it could be that some software is using the camera device.
