I just learned windows phone7 development and encountered this configuration error. Record it here.

Error message: Zune software is not installed

Zune software is not installed. Install the latest version of Zune software.

In this case, I tried to download and install Zune on the Microsoft official website as instructed.

After Zune is installed and run, debug again. The error message is: Zune is not started.

Zune software is not launched. Retry after making sure that Zune software is launched.

Even if I open and run Zune, the same error is reported.

Solution

It is very simple. Because there is no WP7 device during development and debugging, you should select the WP7 simulator (emulator). If you do not pay attention to it, it is really difficult to start.

Windows Phone 7 device-> Windows Phone 7 emulator

You can use a real machine.
