WPS Template Tips Two

In the daily use of WPS text, templates are often used. How to add a common template and a custom Template tab, which you might not be familiar with, let me explain how to implement them.

First, add the "common" template

If you often use a fixed template to write a document, but do not want to make each new document is a document of this template, then we can put it under the "common" template to facilitate our operation.

Add Method:

1. After you make the appropriate settings for a document that will generate the template, click File | Save As to open the Save As dialog box.

2, select the "Save Type" box under the "WPS Text template file (*.wpt)", the "Save location" path automatically jumps to the common "template" directory (that is, c:documents and settingskingsoftapplication DataKingsoftoffice6 emplates), enter a meaningful name in the file name box (such as "Introduction to WPS new Features") and click the Save button (Figure 1)

  

How to use:

Select File | on-machine template, open the Templates dialog box, double-click its defined template under the Common tab (for example, "Introduction to WPS new Features"), and WPS creates a new document based on this template.

Ii. Customizing the Templates tab

Although if you have a variety of templates, and different categories, this should not be placed under the "Common" tab, we should create a new custom tab, dedicated to this type of template.

Add Method:

1. After you make the appropriate settings for a document that will generate the template, click File | Save As to open the Save As dialog box.

2, select the WPS text template file (*.WPT) under the Save as type box, save location selection: C:Program fileskingsoftwps Office emplates2052wps (this location is based on the location of the WPS installation, If you are installed in D disk, you should be: C:Program fileskingsoftwps Office emplates2052wps, and so on.

3. Click the "New Folder" button on the toolbar in the upper-right corner of the dialog box. Enter the appropriate name (for example: my writing), double-click into the "My writing" directory, enter a meaningful name in the file name box (such as "WPS Tip"), and click the "Save" button (Figure 3).

How to use:

Click File | On my computer to see one more "my writing" (that is, the name of the new Folder) tab. Click the My writing tab, and then double-click the WPS Tips document (that is, the newly added template name), and WPS creates a new document that is based on this template (Figure 4).

Looking at the tips above, we know that the name of the folder corresponds to the name on the tab one by one (Figure 3), and we can modify the name of the folder to make it more personalized (see Figure 5).
