The Alloctions tool is used to keep track of app memory usage.
The instrument tool requires you to load a process so that it can collect data after the process has started.
The Instrument tool captures the following information:
Cotegory: A category, typically a core foundation object, a Object-c class, or a raw memory block (block). Here we actually just have to read all the heap & Anonymous VMs (heap allocations and anonymous virtual machines) This line of data is basically OK.
Persistent Bytes: The current active memory;
Persistent: The current amount of active memory;
Transient: The number of objects or blocks of memory that are currently allocated memory but are still not released;
Total Bytes: Used memory;
Total: All the memory, whether it is used or not used are counted;
Allocations: The histogram bar is usually blue. The histogram is modified to yellow when the ratio between the total number of objects and the maximum value is less than 1/3 of the scale or maximum and the current number of allocations. When the scale equals 1/10 or less, the histogram turns red.
Note: I just translated the old insturments, there is a wrong place, please point out.
