XENAPP7.6XENDESKTOP7.6 Initial Experience: Six-server VIRTUALDESKTOPAGENT
Overview
The Architecture of Versions later than Xendesktop 7.X has changed from the original Independent Management Architecture (IMA) Architecture to the current FlexCast Management Architecture (FMA ); the concept of Zone Data Collector, Zone Preference Policies, and Local Host Cache in the original IMA architecture does not exist in the new version. Of course, in the FMA architecture, the Administrator is more convenient than before configuring the client and managing application Publishing. XenApp servers can also be created using the Machine Creation Service (MCS) technology. In the new architecture, apart from installing applications, the XenApp Server only needs to install a Citrix Server Virtual Desktop Agent.
The installation process is as follows:
· First, insert the XenDesktop 7.6 disc;
· Double-click to run.
· Wait for a while and the installation screen appears. We use a Windows 2012 R2 Server as the XenApp Server. Therefore, we select VDA for Windows Server OS;
Select Virtual Desktop Agent for Windows Server OS
Select "create master image", because we will use this server as the image to create the XenApp server.
