In XP, many software will be installed in the XP status bar in the Quick Launch bar to add shortcuts, which not only affect the beauty, many times will severely affect the boot speed.
Step One Delete icon
If there is a double arrow icon in the Quick boot area on the left side of the status bar, we can click on it and find many program icons:
Many times, we can right-click these icons and choose Delete to remove:
But if, like us, there are many icons, it will be troublesome to delete them, so we can right-click on any icon and choose Properties:
In the Open dialog box, on the General tab, locate the location and duplicate the path:
Click on the "Start" menu and choose "Run":
Paste the path you just copied to the text box in the dialog box:
"OK" We can see a lot of icons:
Select the icon we need to remove and then "delete":
To see the quick boot area of the XP status bar, the extra icons are gone:
Step Two hide icon
When we open many programs, many icons may appear to the right of the status bar, and many do not need to be displayed all the time:
At this point, we can right-click the status bar blank Space, select "Properties":
Click the Customize button in the dialog box that pops up:
In the dialog box that pops up, change the icon you don't want to show to always hide:
When you click OK, we can see that many of the icons have not been displayed, reducing the amount of space in the status bar:
