According to foreign media reports, Yahoo will launch a new test service "Yahoo! Alpha 1.0 ", which allows you to customize the Yahoo search engine homepage.
Unlike the search homepage customization tool provided by competitors Google, Yahoo! Alpha allows users to display search results from Yahoo or third-party services on the same page.
Currently, Yahoo Web search, Wikipedia, Flickr, and YouTube support Yahoo! Alpha service. At the same time, you can create your own search module, as long as the search result is in the form of RSS feed.
In addition, Yahoo! Alpha also contains a special module "sponsorship link" to display text ads. This may imply that Yahoo will share ad revenue with users, just as Google's CSE system.
Despite Yahoo! Alpha is still in the testing stage, but the outlook seems optimistic. Currently, users can try this service through the Yahoo Australia site (au.alpha.yahoo.com.
In addition, it is unclear that Yahoo! is launched globally! The Alpha service is limited to the Australian market.
