Zbrush® is a digital engraving and 3-dimensional modeling software, which not only has a powerful 3D engraving function, but also the application of the 2.5D brush is no inferior. This article mainly explains some uses of the 2.5D brush, the2.5D Brush is the add-on brush tool for the decal painting and some other tools, such as:
Fiberbrush (Fiber Brush): Can draw a grass-like effect.
Highlighterbrush (High stylus Brush): can brighten tone.
Simplebrush (Simple Brush): can draw color, also can be simple carving.
Because the 2.5D brush and 3D model relationship is not big, in three-dimensional application field is not much, so do not do too much explanation.
The following is an example of the use of Simplebrush (simple brush), a simple description of the application of the 2.5D brush.
Step one, click the brush icon in the Simplebrush (simple Brush) in the panel, hold down the left mouse button and drag in the viewport document area, and you will see the strokes and effects left by the tool, as shown in (left).
Note: You must use part of the 2D and 2.5D brush tools to be effective if you have elements already in view document.
Step two, click on the Alpha icon on the left tool shelf, open the Alpha pickup set, select any of the Alpha shapes, hold down the left mouse button again and drag within the document, and the drawing will form a brush effect in alpha shape, as shown in (middle) and (right).
It is also important to note that if a 3D model is present in the picture document, and the Edit button is turned on, the object is already in the editing state, At this point, you cannot apply the 2.5D brush tool to draw, forced drawing will pop up a warning that the current model is being edited, and if the 2.5D brush is applied, the current model will be discarded.
From the above, we can know that the 2.5D brush can only be applied in 2.5D editing mode (that is, close the Edit button), in 3D mode is not applicable, 2.5D tools and 3D tools are the same level, cannot be used at the same time.
