If you think that the "Zhou Bo Tong" built-in RSS channel resources are not rich enough, you can also choose the following 3 different ways to increase the channel.

Method 1: Directly enter the RSS channel address

If you get the RSS channel address from other sources, you can click on the "Add Channel" button on the left of the main interface toolbar, or right-click any space in the RSS channel list directory, select the "new → New RSS channel" command, and then pop up the dialog box shown in Figure 3. Here, enter the RSS channel address, and then click the "Next" button, after the successful RSS address verification, the program will remove the name of the current channel into the "RSS Channel name" column, of course, you can also modify their own. Finally select the new channel placed in the directory, click the "Finish" button to add success.

Method 2: Add channels directly to the browser

After the installation of "Zhou Bo Tong", we can in IE's right menu to find "Zhou Bo Tong: Add the current page" option, after the implementation of the current page can be added to the RSS channel or favorite folder.

Method 3: Import other reader channels

iii. customizing keyword search Subscriptions

If the site supports RSS, in general, we will see the first page of the XML or RSS tags (light yellow), click on the link to get the RSS read address or Web page source code, with "Zhou Bo Tong", we can choose to use right click to add to the RSS subscription channel list. At present, Google, Baidu, Yahoo Search, andMSN search engines provide RSS services, we can be concerned about the content of the subscription down, so access to information is much more convenient.

Example 1: Subscribe to the news from Baidu about the civil service exam

into the http://news.baidu.com/rss/page, you can see at the bottom of the page there is a yellow XML tag, the "Civil Service Exam" for the keyword search, when you see the search results shown in Figure 5, right click on the upper left corner of the XML tag, select " Zhou Bo Tong: Subscribe to the RSS Address Channel command, this will pop up a similar to Figure 3 dialog box, but the corresponding RSS address has been automatically entered the input box, we only need to determine the channel name and category on it.

Example 2: Subscribe to RSS feeds from one search

Yahoo China currently provides RSS news services to domestic users, we can add the news through a search directly to my Yahoo! (my yahoo), the default settings can add the latest 5 news, but unfortunately can not be added to the "Zhou Bo Tong" channel list.

In fact, RSS feeds are as simple as using Outlook Express or Foxmail to receive subscriptions, and the process of RSS work is not that complicated for web application developers.

Tip: We can export all channels to a OPML file so that we can exchange channel resources with our friends. If you are "Zhou Bo Tong" registered users, you can also upload their own list of RSS channels to the server, in the future when the system or software, you can restore directly from the server.
