AUTO-APT can search which package can provide the required header file

When you want to compile a program from the source code, but fail because the header file is missing, AUTO-APT can search which package can provide the required header file.

Installation

sudo apt install auto-apt
sudo auto-apt update
sudo auto-apt updatedb && sudo auto-apt update-local

Usage

Search header file:

AUTO-APT Search [headerfile.h] For example:

AUTO-APT Search Xlib.h You can combine checkinstall with, or you can try to use http://www.aliyun.com/zixun/aggregation/13835.html ">ubuntu: Autodeb, it combines the two software and some additional tools.

Command

Run-Enter the AUTO-APT environment

auto-apt Run [command [Cmdarg]]
Update-Get a list of the latest directories (list of available files)

AUTO-APT Update
UpdateDB-Get directory list (list of available files, no download)

Auto-apt UpdateDB
Update-local-Generate list of installed files

Auto-apt update-local
Merge-Merging directory listings

Auto-apt Merge
Del-Delete Package list

Auto-apt del Package
Check-checks which file can provide files shown in filename

AUTO-APT check [-v] [f] FileName
List-Lists the packages in the database

AUTO-APT list [-V] [F]
Search-Searching for packages with file name pattern (remember to combine grep)

AUTO-APT Search [-v] [F] Pattern
Debuild-See what packages are needed, typically with the-s option to use

AUTO-APT debuild-s filename
Status-Report Current environment (whether in auto-apt)

Some commands that contain the-local suffix will use the pkgfiles.db generated by the update-local command instead of the pkgcontents.db
