It provides support for MySQL and fully configurable output formats, including large time stamps. Rsyslog launched Rainer's Gerharz. According to the fork from the standard SYSKLOGD package. The goal of the Rsyslog project is to provide a more reliable system log daemon and configuration. "Reliable" means a reliable transmission mode that supports, for example, TCP or RFC 3195 (System log reliable). We do not mean unreliable sysklogd packages.
