SeaMonkey v2.1 releases open source code and Cross-platform Network Suite

SeaMonkey is a free open source and Cross-platform network suite, constructed by the http://www.aliyun.com/zixun/aggregation/29851.html ">mozilla Foundation, Then it was developed by the SeaMonkey Project leadership group. The software, built on the Mozilla Suite, is an extension of the Mozilla Foundation's software Mozilla Suite 1.7 version.

On March 10, 2005, since the Mozilla Foundation focused its software development on Mozilla Firefox and Mozilla Thunderbird, it announced that the Mozilla Suite version will not be updated since 1.7.

Still, the Mozilla Foundation insists that it will continue to provide Mozilla's community with a network suite similar to the Mozilla Suite, and therefore the SeaMonkey Project leadership group (SeaMonkey Council), Took a team of Mozilla Suite developers to replace the Mozilla Foundation, and on January 30, 2006, SeaMonkey released 1.0 official editions.
