V4l-utils and libv4l 0.8.5 release Video4linux (V4L) and DVB utilities

V4l-utils and libv4l are various video4linux (V4L) and DVB utilities. LIBV4L Library accompanies a collection of video4linux2 (V4L2) devices to add a thin layer of abstraction. The purpose of this layer is to make it easy for application writers to support a variety of devices without requiring separate code to be written in the same class of different devices. It consists of 3 different libraries. Libv4lconvert provides the function (known) pixel format conversion v4l2_pix_fmt_bgr24 or v4l2_pix_fmt_yuv420. LIBV4L1 provides V4L2 (not recommended) V4L1 independent APIs for drivers that support V4L1 compatibility (many v412 drivers do not support). LIBV4L2 V4L2 devices provide V4L2 APIs, while added applications Libv4lconvert converted to support when necessary.
