The betwin software developed by thinsoft can implement a drag-and-drop computer function. in Windows 2000/XP, a maximum of five users can log on and use it at the same time. You can retain existing resources and add a display (or TV, as long as the video card supports TV-out). Just set the USB mouse and keyboard. If the sub-host needs sound, configure a USB sound card. I. Hardware connection

Connect the monitor to the second VGA port of the video card and insert the USB keyboard and USB mouse. After entering the system, the system will detect multiple monitors, mouse, and keyboard. Shake the USB mouse to make sure the cursor can be moved. Press the case-sensitive Lock key on the keyboard. The light on both keyboards should be on. If no mouse or keyboard is detected, make sure the connection is correct.

Then enable the system multi-display function. For the dual-graphics card solution, you also need to install each graphics card driver separately. Open the "Settings" tab in "Display Properties" and you will see two display connections. Select the second monitor and select "extend Windows desktop to this monitor ". After confirmation, the second monitor displays the desktop and the mouse can swim between the two monitors.

Note: if one of the display, keyboard, and mouse is not correctly connected, perform the following steps after the connection is correct. Otherwise, Windows XP may be in disorder.

2. Configure the user

Open the user account in the control panel, add a user, and set permissions. Here, I have set two Computer Administrator Accounts: Host and test1.

Double-click setup.exe to install. The installation process is no different from other software. The detailed process is skipped here. After installation, you must restart the system to continue the configuration.

4. Software Configuration

After the restart, the betwin setting wizard appears ,. After you press OK, follow the prompts on each screen to configure the mouse and keyboard. Restart After configuration.

5. First Login

If everything goes well, you will see the login interface on both monitors after the restart. The host is used to log on, and the sub-machine is test1. After logging on to Windows XP, you will find that there is no difference between Windows XP and Windows XP. The two keyboards and mice can be operated independently.

Open the betwin console on the desktop and you can see that the two users have logged on to the console at the same time.

Select "user" and "Statistics" to view the current system status.

If the available memory is too small, add the memory; otherwise, it will become quite slow.

To add more computers or change hardware properties, click workstation configuration. In the pop-up window, you can view the hardware status currently allocated to each subsystem and modify the configuration.

If you need to terminate the workstation or add or delete hardware, select "Set Configuration" in "options", select "Disable betwin", and restart.

6. Tips

Considering compatibility issues, betwin will reduce the acceleration function of the video card. In order to achieve the best effect, set the hardware acceleration level to the highest in "display attributes", "advanced", and "Troubleshooting", so that the host sub-machine can play 3D games.

If you are using a CRT display, adjust its update rate separately to protect your eyes.

It is recommended that you do not run programs that occupy too much system resources to avoid affecting your use.

Use NTFS partition whenever possible to set permissions for each user to avoid privacy issues.

Some 3D programs will cause the two displays to have the same output, and the second user cannot operate. The problem can be solved only after restarting. Now I find this problem occurs in Windows XP 3D screen saver.

VII. Summary

From the perspective of the entire installation process, the installation process of betwin is relatively foolish, and it is easy for new users to get started. According to the system running effect, the operations of the two users will hardly affect each other. If the host is strong enough, you can run two 3D games at the same time. Common applications such as CS and online games can be easily dealt. I wrote this article and ran the 3dmark2001se demo smoothly. There was almost no pause. In terms of network, only the host can access the Internet, and the sub-host can be used without configuration. However, because the same IP address is used, the LAN application cannot be connected.
