Infoworld: more test time for users. Microsoft provides a solution to disable automatic upgrade of XP SP2.
Microsoft will provide users with three methods to disable automatic system upgrade and install its latest "Windows XP SP2" function, so that users can spend more time solving the problems that may arise from the software upgrade. These methods provided by Microsoft allow users to only disable the function of upgrading XP SP2, and other automatic upgrade functions can run as usual. These methods provided by Microsoft expire August 16 days after January 1, 120. After expiration, you cannot disable the XP SP2 upgrade function unless you disable all the upgrade functions. Microsoft said that some organizations require users to temporarily disable the function of downloading XP SP2 through automatic upgrade and Windows upgrade programs. These users need some time to test the software upgrade. Microsoft's decision was made after IBM ordered its employees not to download XP SP2 .?
