Whenever you change a back-end database mirroring relationship, you must restart all front-end servers in the pool.

for changes to the mirror (such as changing the mirror location), you must use the topology Builder performs the following three steps:

1. remove the mirror from the old mirror server.

2. add a mirror to the new mirror server.

3. Publish the topology.
