Creating and editing a selection in Photoshop is the most basic skill. In this tutorial, we will show you the PS tutorial Photoshop Tutorial.
1. Basic modifications
① selection Garchon (hold down the SHIFT key when using the magic Wand tool, Lasso tool, and Marquee tool to Garchon the selection.) )
② selection (when you use the Magic Wand tool, Lasso tool, and Marquee tool, hold down the ALT key to select a selection.) )
③ the selection by holding down the SHIFT key and the ALT key to make the selection cross. )
④ All (Ctrl + a) selects the entire canvas. )
⑤ Cancel a selection (Ctrl+d can cancel all selections.) )
⑥ (ctrl+shift+d) to select the last selection again. )
⑦ Reverse Selection (Ctrl+shift+i the selection to an area other than the selection.) )
⑧ move a selection (when you draw with the selection tool, hold down the SPACEBAR to move the selection.) )
⑨ Perfect Circle or square (when you draw a selection using the rectangular marquee tool or the elliptical marquee tool, hold down the SHIFT key to draw the perfect circle or square.) )
⑩ draw a selection from the center (you can draw from the center by holding down the ALT key when you draw the selection). )
2. Preservation and loading of constituencies
It's a good choice to save the selected selections later if you want to use them again. All saved selections will be stored in the form of a channel. They are actually pixel masks and do not belong to any layer.
You can find these options under the Select menu.
3. Change the selection
This feature is essentially a free transform tool that changes only the selections you make, without changing the contents of the selected layer. When you use the Marquee tool to create a constituency, you want to change its perspective,
or twist it, you'll find this function useful. You can hold down the CTRL key and drag the control point of the transformation box, and you can also use the transform function to distort or otherwise deform the selection.
4. Quick Mask
This is a very convenient function to change the selection. You need to click on the icon below the toolbar or press the Q key on the keyboard to enter the quick mask. Also press the Q key to exit this special selection editing mode.
Once you're in the Quick mask mode, you'll find that the selection area you created is normally displayed, and the area outside the selection is covered in translucent red. You can change this setting by double-clicking the icon below the toolbar.
In this mode, you can use the brush tool or the gradient tool to quickly and accurately modify the selection you have created. When the foreground color is black, using a brush or gradient subtracts the selection.
Conversely, a selection is added when the foreground color is white. Try using an irregular brush to create a special selection.
5. Magic Wand Tool, quick selection tool, selection similarity and enlarged selection
Magic Wand is a very classic Photoshop tool, which is chosen according to the similarity of neighboring pixels. This method can also be implemented using the two tools in the selection menu.
Selecting a similar tool allows you to select pixels of similar color (not just adjacent pixels) across the entire image, and expanding the selection tool simply expands adjacent similar pixels.
The Quick selection tool also uses the same sampling, but it also uses a very powerful brush feature. Using the Quick selection tool, you can quickly choose from simple brush strokes,
And you can change the size of the brush to make an exact selection.
6. Feather
Feathering will soften the edges of your selection. The size of the feather pixel determines the size of the area where the edge of the selection is gradually softened.
You can also define a feather value for the selection tool (rectangular marquee tool, lasso tool, and so on) or feather in the selection menu.
7. Adjust the Edge
This is a very powerful tool for adjusting constituency functions. Here you can use advanced modification options such as smart radii, purifying colors, and more.
This is the best tool for dealing with a complex selection of hair types.
8. Expansion and contraction
In menu selection > modification, these two functions extend and shrink the edges of a selection just as they would be named.
9. Border
This may be the least common feature in the selection changes in Photoshop, but it is still useful. This will create a circle on the constituency you originally created.
10. Color Range
This is another Photoshop favorite feature that can be used to strengthen already established constituencies. You can find this feature under the Select menu. It works the same way as a magic wand,
But with the color range, you can control the color tolerances more flexibly and preview the effects better.
