I. CDMA wireless network optimization coverage

Methods To optimize coverage include adjusting engineering parameters and transmitting power of base stations. Adjustable engineering parameters include the height, azimuth, and undertilt of the base station antenna. Main problems affecting network coverage include: insufficient pilot signal power, edge coverage, coverage blind zone, downlink service channel power, and unbalanced uplink/downlink connections.

1. Measures to solve the power shortage of the pilot signal:

First, the transmit power of the base station with the strongest wireless signal is increased by 2 dB in step size, but for small cells, the maximum transmit power may be smaller, and the increase in transmit power may not be enough. Second, it can increase the gain of the base station antenna or adjust its azimuth, but this may cause coverage problems in other regions. Finally, it can add a new base station or direct station to solve the problem.

2. Measures to solve edge coverage problems:

If the coverage of the residential area is too large, you can increase the base station antenna's downtilt angle, reduce the transmission power of the Guide, replace the low-gain base station antenna, or add a fill tube to the Feeder of the base station transmitting antenna; to expand the coverage of the residential area, you can increase the frequency transmission power, replace the high-gain base station antenna, or install the tower amplifier and dust blower.

3. Measures to solve coverage blind spots:

Increase the frequency transmission power of a residential area to enable dominant frequency in the residential area. For physical parameters of one or more service residential areas, for example, the azimuth, downtilt, and antenna type of the base station antenna are optimized. If the system capacity is not limited, the installation of the direct station increases coverage; and the addition of carriers in High-load cells; base station antennas with narrow bandwidth and high gain are used to cover a building.

4. Measures to solve the problem of insufficient downstream service channel power:

Increase the maximum transmit power of the downstream business channel to ensure the balance between the Business Channel and the pilot channel on the downstream link, but this may increase the downlink interference of the adjacent area.

5. Measures to solve the imbalance between upstream and downstream links:

Reduces the transmit power of the channel, balances the coverage of the channel, reduces the gain of the base station antenna, adjusts the azimuth angle of the base station antenna, and reduces the coverage area of the residential area, to reduce uplink interference, but this may also cause coverage problems in other regions. A new base station or direct release station is built to solve the problem.

Ii. CDMA wireless network capacity optimization

The capacity optimization of mobile communication networks is based on detailed analysis of the traffic statistics of base stations. for areas with capacity problems and coverage problems, it can be solved by adding base stations or micro-cells.

If the traffic of a base station in the wireless network is heavy and traffic congestion often occurs, and the traffic of the base station is relatively low, it indicates that the traffic volume is unbalanced, you need to further check the soft switching ratio of the base station. If the soft switching ratio is very high, you need to solve the waste of soft switching on system channel resources, by adjusting the soft switching parameters T-ADD, T-DROP and so on to reduce the soft switching ratio, if the soft switching ratio is not high, then you can adjust the base station antenna azimuth angle and downtilt angle, so that the traffic of the base station can be shared with other base stations with relatively low traffic volume. When making these specific adjustments, pay special attention to the impact on wireless network coverage.
