ArcGIS Desktop 10.0 direct connection to ArcSDE 10.2

Environment

Client: Windows 7 64-bit SP1, oracle11.2 32-bit client, ArcGIS Desktop 10.0

Server: win7 64-bit SP1, oracle11.2 64-bit server, ArcSDE 10.2

 

Theoretically, the server is sde10.1. This method is also valid.

 

 

The following are connection parameters:

Parameter description:

Server: Server IP address or machine name

Service: "SDE: oracle11g:" is fixed,The last "ps2vm1" is the network service name of oracle.Is the node name of the tree on the left of Oracle Net manager.

Database: Optional

Username and password: SDE user and password

 

The oracle11g in PS: "SDE: oracle11g: ps2vm1" should be set with different values based on the Oracle version.

PS2: According to ESRI official documents, the desktop and SDE of version 10. X (10.0, 10.1, 10.2) can be connected to each other, that is, the client of the earlier version can connect to the server of the later version.
